Payak Muay Thai is going on tour to the home of Muay Thai, where you can forget about your work and home commitments and focus on enhancing your Muay Thai skills and technique. We will be offering 2 sessions daily at Sinbi Muay Thai, home of our friend Judy Humber and James Sinbi. To complement this intense training each week we will take a trip to a recovery centre for ice baths and sauna sessions.
But don’t stress, if you’re not interested in training twice a day, you don’t have to. How often you train is completely up to you!
Between session, feel free to explore the Island or relax and rejuvenate in your own luxurious pool villa. Set in Rawai Beach, 1.9 km from Chalong Beach, Thames Tara Private Pool Villa offers 2, 3 or 4 bedroom private villas with their own pool, air conditioned rooms, free bike hire and daily breakfast.

FAQs
Can I bring my partner or friend who doesn't train at Payak Muay Thai? Yes of course, please have them complete the booking form. If you attend to share a room please note this also. Please note, unfortunately we can't reduce the price for guests who don't intend to train (this is the best chance to get them into it). What experiences do I need to join this retreat? We accept and welcome all levels of fitness or Muay Thai experiences. Sinbi Muay Thai provides a world-class customer experience, unintimidating and friendly training environment for every level, from absolute beginners to advanced. What’s included and what’s not? The details of all training and activities, accommodation, meals, certain transfers included in our retreat are on the retreat schedule. What is not included is round trip flights, airport transfer and meals unless noted in the schedule. Do we need to bring hand wraps and gloves? You will need to bring your own hand wraps, boxing gloves and shin guards. For gloves we recommend 10-12oz, 14-16oz is best for sparring (if you intend to spar). You will also receive a training pack with a shirt, a pair of Muay Thai shorts and a pair of hand wraps. What clothing would you recommend us to bring? Temperatures are warm at 25⁰C-32⁰C with 8 hours of sunshine a day. We recommend you to bring cotton t-shirts, summer dresses, shorts, linen shirts, lightweight clothes and easy-to-dry clothing and of course your swimmers. Can I stay behind in Thailand after the retreat? Yes of course! Thailand is an amazing place to travel and sightsee, with loads of delicious food and culture, you are welcome to stay as long as your visa allows in Thailand. You can also arrive earlier and explore Thailand before the retreat. What are the entry requirements for travellers to Thailand? Traveler's do not have to present proof of COVID-19 testing during their arrival or departure from Thailand. For visits less then 30 days Australian do not require a Visa. When is check in and check out The check in at Thames Tara Private Pool Villa resort is 2:00pm in the afternoon. However, to accommodate any early arrivals - the reception should be able to store your luggage whilst you chill around the pool/ area until your room is ready. The check out on 12:00pm at noon. Is there somewhere I can do laundry? Yes! There are several options for laundry, we do get pretty sweaty training in the heat so to save you packing so much you can do laundry. Do I need to bring local currency? Yes you will need local currency for any shopping, extras such as massages and meals that aren't included. Do I have to attend every session? You can attend as many or as little sessions as you like, you are not obligated but we do encourage you to try joining as many as you can. Do I need travel insurance? Travel insurance is not required but it is highly recommended, it's also a good idea to make sure your insurance specifically covers martial arts. Is there wifi/cell service? Both the hotel and the gym have free wifi, if you wish to have cell service everywhere you can buy a plan from your home country, an e-sim or buy a Thai SIM card at the airport or phone shop. Where do I fly into? The closest airport is Phuket international airport. Jetstar offer affordable, direct flights to Phuket. If I have bought the shared package when will I know who I am sharing with? We will set up a group chat pre retreat where we can share any additional information, we will try finalise rooms a week or so before departure.
Terms & Conditions
By making a booking via this website with Payak Muay Thai, you acknowledge and understand that an agreement has been entered into between yourself and Payak Muay Thai, and that you have read and fully understood the following terms and conditions: Deposit and Refund Policy - A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-refundable. For cancellations made up to a month prior to the retreat start date, you will receive an 80% refund of the total amount paid, minus the non-refundable deposit. No refunds will be issued for cancellations made less than one months before the retreat start date. Medical Insurance - It is the responsibility of each participant to secure appropriate medical insurance that covers martial arts activities during the retreat. By proceeding with the booking, you agree to these terms and conditions. Payment Terms - There are two key options for paying for the retreat: full payment upfront or a payment plan. If you opt for the payment plan, you are required to pay 20% upfront as a non-refundable deposit and the remaining must be paid 7 days before our nominated check in date (15th March 2025). Payment can be made via either bank transfer to the details provided, or via credit card using Square which will incur a 3% surcharge. If your booking is made less than 30 days before the retreat dates, you will be required to pay the full amount to sign up. If the final balance is not received by the stated due date, Payak Muay Thai reserves the right to treat your booking as cancelled and may release your spot to the next guest on our waiting list. The price includes what is listed in the package and itinerary, including resort accommodation, training, certain meals, and activities. This price does not include your travel to and from the retreat or your own insurance packages. Travel & Insurance As this retreat includes combat sports and fitness exercises, we require every guest to purchase their own personal accidental and medical insurance upon signing up. We also highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for the entirety of your trip. Payak Muay Thai shall not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations by any of the travel companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your travel documentation. Please take your insurance policies with you on the retreat. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance cover you purchase is suitable and adequate for your particular needs. Payak Muay Thai reserves the right to refuse guests for training or activities if they do not hold medical insurance. Payak Muay Thai and its business partners do not assume responsibility for accidents or deaths linked to participants’ negligence, acts of third parties, or circumstances such as natural occurrences, extreme weather, or similar causes. Medical Conditions & Special Requirements You must inform us of any medical, mental, or physical conditions, pregnancy, disability, or current medication that could affect your fitness to travel or your state of participation throughout this retreat by completing our questions form. Please feel free to notify our representatives or coaches upon arrival for their attention and special guidance.
